Electric Austin Seven Concept – Austin Motor Company (AMC) (April 2026)
Project Description:
This project presented the rare and thrilling opportunity to participate in the visual resurrection of an automotive icon. I was commissioned by Austin Motor Company (AMC) to create the official hero illustrations for the launch of their highly anticipated, all-new, all-electric reinvented Austin Seven. The core objective was to modernize a 100-year-old legacy, creating a visual bridge between historic British motoring and tomorrow's urban mobility.
The challenge was to showcase a clever, spacious city car utilizing a state-of-the-art electric powertrain, compact wheels, a wide track, and independent suspension. My goal was to translate these modern technical attributes into a sleek aesthetic that honored the original vehicle's famous packaging. To achieve the final look, the digital visualizations focused on:
- Translating Engineering to Art: Working closely with AMC's vision, I highlighted the new Seven's unique architecture. By emphasizing the pushed-out wheels and short overhangs, the illustrations clearly communicate the car's remarkable interior space and stability.
- Photo-Realistic Lighting & Retouching: A car's character is defined by how light interacts with its shapes. I utilized advanced CGI techniques to ensure the lighting perfectly accentuated the modern yet retro-inspired lines, delivering flawless paint, perfect surface reflections, and absolute light consistency.
- Premium Brand Consistency: Turning packaging blueprints and engineering data into highly accurate, publish-ready automotive art. The final assets were designed to feel cohesive, premium, and inherently "Austin" for their global launch.
This commission highlights my ability to collaborate directly with automotive manufacturers, taking their engineering data and conceptual visions and pushing them to the absolute limit of photo-realism for official brand launches.
