AZ Automotive Brand & Vehicle Concepts – Auto Zeitung Magazine (Jun 2024)
Project Description:
For the June 2024 issue of Auto Zeitung, I was commissioned to create a unique editorial feature envisioning an entirely new car brand: AZ Automotive — a fictional manufacturer founded by the magazine’s own editors as an antidote to current automotive trends.
The concept was to design vehicles that deliberately go against the grain — rejecting inflated size, tech overload, and formulaic styling in favor of simplicity, utility, and fun. Working closely with the editorial team, I developed a complete visual identity for the brand, including the design of the AZ Automotive logo and a full lineup of purpose-driven vehicles:
- AZ Shootingbrake – a lightweight, driver-focused fastback
- AZ Baja – a muscular, retro-inspired off-roader
- AZ Standard & Mini-Max – minimalist hatchbacks with rational, back-to-basics charm
- AZ Bus – a modular stainless-steel camper with rugged detailing and utility-first design
In addition to the high-impact print spreads, I created animated video content that brought these vehicles to life in motion — further enhancing the project’s reach across digital and social platforms. The videos reflected the same editorial spirit: confident, unpolished, and refreshingly unorthodox.
The AZ Automotive feature became a standout creative piece for the magazine, blurring the line between automotive journalism and design fiction — with all visual storytelling rendered exclusively by Avarvarii Automotive Artworks.
