Following up on the official visual rollout for Matt Murphy’s Lamborghini LM5 concept, I wanted to share a little side-quest I took during the rendering process. The LM5’s design is so inherently aggressive and imposing that I couldn't resist pushing its sculptural form into a completely different cinematic realm.
Just for fun, I decided to create a RoboCop version of the car. I was genuinely curious to see how this brutal, heavy design would look patrolling the dystopian streets of that universe, and I honestly just thought it would be incredibly cool to visualize.
Translating the LM5 from an ultra-luxury flagship into an Omni Consumer Products (OCP) law enforcement interceptor required a total shift in look development. I traded the flawless, premium paint for tactical, utilitarian finishes—focusing on matte armor plating, ruggedized trim, and the integration of classic police lighting.
By dropping the vehicle into a moody, high-contrast atmospheric lighting setup, it instantly captured the grit and shadows of Old Detroit. It was a great creative exercise in taking an already forward-thinking, muscular design and grounding it in a heavy sci-fi reality, proving just how versatile the LM5's foundational geometry really is.
